People love to share their knowledge and expertise, so it’s always worth asking.

I’ve been a dancer my whole life and one of the best things it’s given me is a good memory for detail. Choreography goes quick and you need to pick things up fast before the teacher moves on. This helps me in my job every day. With dance there’s always a new goal. You nailed a double turn? Go for a triple… and so on. Because of that, I’ve never become stagnant with my own life. Once something is completed, I look for what I can jump into and achieve next.

I love that I can contribute by making daily operations easier for the team – while simultaneously having the opportunity to learn about other areas I have never studied such as consulting, venture capital, and technology. I still haven’t lost the student mindset. I recently worked on a project that documented the global ranking and social media presence of 250 Travel companies. That was an education in itself.

Sometimes asking for help can be intimidating because there’s this expectation that you’re supposed to know everything, but asking for help is how you learn. I did a research study from start to finish in my last semester at Marist. It was daunting at first, but I learned that you need to ask for help sometimes. People love to share their knowledge and expertise, so it’s always worth asking.

There are a lot of smart, driven people at BNM who are really dedicated to what they do. But the best part is that everyone gets along so well and we like to have fun.
